My name is Vania Petkova Hickersberger, and I’m a Vienna-based digital designer and strategist with a passion for creating meaningful, human-centered digital experiences.

With a background in visual communication, UX/UI design, and a Master’s degree in Online Media Marketing, I specialize in translating complex content into intuitive, research-driven concepts that connect people, culture, and technology. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with cultural institutions, co-learning spaces, and educational initiatives to develop digital marketing strategies and communication tools that are both impactful and engaging.

My artistic roots continue to inform my design language—bringing clarity, emotion, and visual storytelling into everything I create. Whether working on a digital art portal or shaping interactive learning tools for children, I approach each project as an opportunity to connect aesthetics with purpose.

As part of my MSc studies, I developed a comprehensive digital strategy for a small art gallery with an educational mission in Vienna. The project explored how best-practice models from museum innovation and small business transformation can be adapted to help cultural spaces navigate the digital shift—bridging artistic vision, education, and economic sustainability.
